Vortex flowmeter is a volume flowmeter that measures the volume flow of gas, steam or liquid, the volume flow of the standard condition or the mass flow according to the Karman vortex principle. It is mainly used for the flow measurement of industrial pipeline medium fluids, such as gas, liquid, steam and other media.
Introduction
Vortex steam flowmeter is one of the main flowmeter products, widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, heating and other departments. Test and measure the flow of liquid, gas and steam.

The LUGB vortex flow sensor is based on the theory of Karman and Strohal about the generation of vortices and the relationship between vortices and flow to measure the flow of steam, gas and low viscosity liquid. A triangular column is inserted vertically into the surface body, that is, the generating body of the vortex. When there is a medium flowing through the surface body, a regular Karman vortex in the opposite direction is alternately generated behind the triangular column, and the separation frequency F of the vortex is proportional to the flow velocity V of the medium. By detecting the number of vortices through the sensing head, the fluid velocity can be calculated, and then the volume flow of the measured medium can be calculated according to the surface diameter.

Measuring medium: Vortex flowmeter is a speed flowmeter, its principle, determines its measuring medium type, can be liquid, can also be gas or steam. At present, the vast majority of industrial occasions, such as nitrogen, compressed air, steam, heat conduction oil, etc., mostly use flange connected vortex flowmeter to measure;
Pipe diameter: Flange connected vortex flowmeter can be divided into pipe type and insert type installation according to the different installation methods. For the pipeline type, the pipe diameter is the same as most other flowmeters, the small is DN15, and the large is able to reach DN300. If you need a larger caliber, you can choose to insert the installation, the conventional caliber range can reach DN2000, DN2000 caliber above supply in accordance with the agreement;
Measurement accuracy: The accuracy of the flange connected vortex flowmeter also has several grades, and it is divided according to the measurement medium. If it is to measure liquid, the measurement accuracy can reach 1.0, and if it is to measure gas, the accuracy can reach 1.5. If it is inserted vortex flowmeter, the accuracy can reach level 1.5 and 2.5;
Medium temperature: Generally speaking, it is divided into three ranges, which are divided into normal temperature, medium and high temperature. The temperature range is -40 ~ 100℃(normal temperature), 100 ~ 250℃(medium temperature), 100 ~ 320℃(high temperature). If the field medium temperature is higher, such as some superheated steam, you can use the orifice flowmeter to measure;
Nominal pressure: mainly divided according to the installation method, the main demand on the market is as follows: for example, flange clamp type (2.5MPa), flange connection type (1.0/1.6/2.5MPa), plug-in installation type (1.6MPa/2.5MPa/4.0MPa);

Installation
 
1、The special flange and the straight pipe section cannot be welded with the sensor;
 
 
2、When installing, the flow direction of the sensor should be consistent with the flow direction of the fluid in the pipeline;
 
 
3、Before installing the sensor, the sealing ring must be placed in the flange groove. The pressure and temperature measuring points are located at 3 ~ 5DN downstream of the sensor, and the temperature measuring points are located at 5 ~ 8DN downstream.
 
 
4、When measuring high temperature media, do not use insulation material to wrap around the sensor connection rod;
 
 
5、The direction of the shielded cable connecting the sensor should be as far away from the interference of strong electromagnetic fields as possible. * It is not allowed to be laid together with high-voltage cables, the shielded cables should be as short as possible, and should not be coiled to reduce the distributed inductance, and the length should not exceed 200 meters;
 
 
6、The pipe must be cleaned before installing the sensor. Flush out the impurities in the tube to avoid clogging the sensor after the flow. The pipe for measuring the liquid must be filled with the liquid being measured to prevent interference from bubbles.
