The advantages of the turbine gas flowmeter are high precision, good repeatability, wide range, compact structure, no zero drift, strong anti-interference ability, etc., the disadvantage is that the calibration characteristics cannot be maintained for a long time and the physical properties of the fluid have a greater impact on the flow characteristics.
Selection steps and methods of turbine gas flowmeter:
1. Confirm the available measurement objects
2. Select the type. According to the physical properties of the fluid, gas and liquid are selected respectively, and can not be used universally. In the working state of liquid viscosity more than 5mPa·s should be selected high viscosity type. Acid corrosive fluids are acid resistant.
Select according to environmental conditions, select appropriate instruments according to ambient temperature and humidity, such as explosion-proof sensors should be selected if there is an explosive flammable atmosphere around.
According to the choice of pipe connection, the sensor can be installed horizontally and vertically. Horizontal installation and pipe connection methods are flange connection, thread connection and clamp connection. Flange connection is selected for medium diameter, thread connection is selected for small diameter and high pressure pipe, clamp connection is only suitable for low pressure small diameter pipe. Vertical mounting only threaded connections.
3. Select specifications. According to the field conditions, such as flow range, pipe diameter, fluid pressure and temperature, installation position and performance requirements, such as accuracy, repeatability, display mode, etc., refer to the manufacturer's selection sample or instruction manual to select specific specifications, there may be no suitable choice to choose other flowmeters.
Turbine gas flowmeter installation requirements:
① Before installing the turbine flow meter, the gas transmission line should be clean, without water, dirt and welding slag, which can cause damage to the turbine blade and mechanical parts of the impurities, the measured medium is unclean, to add a filter.
② Turbine flowmeter is more sensitive to the flow distribution distortion and rotating flow in the pipeline, so it is necessary to be equipped with a straight pipe section of the necessary length according to the upstream resistance type, generally its upstream should have the shortest straight pipe section length of 10D, and its downstream should have the shortest straight pipe section length of 5D (D is the nominal diameter of the flowmeter). If there is a cyclone separator, space joint, pressure regulator and other complex choke in the upstream of the flow meter, the rectifier should be installed in the upstream of the flow meter 5D position.
(3) The flow meter should be installed horizontally, avoid vertical installation, if there is water or gas in the pipeline is very wet, the flow meter pipe should be tilted, so that the liquid can flow out of the flow meter, if the flow meter is installed vertically, the flow of the fluid should be downward.
④ Ensure that the flow direction of the fluid is consistent with the direction of the arrow of the instrument housing, and shall not be reversed.
⑤ The measured medium should not corrode the turbine, especially the bearing, otherwise measures should be taken.
