In general, the selection of biogas flowmeter should pay attention to the connection mode, pay attention to the structure type, pay attention to the display method, pay attention to the signal output mode, and pay attention to the explosion-proof form.

There are mainly the following types of connection methods for biogas flowmeters: flange clamp type (table body without flange) or flange connection type (table body itself with flange) and insert type. It is generally recommended to choose the flange clamp type because of its compact structure, low price, and short supply cycle. It is not recommended to use the plug-in type, which requires high installation technology. Structure types of biogas meteorimeter: monotype structure and subtype structure. Generally, a type structure is used, and only a type structure is used in special occasions (such as: when the medium temperature is high, when the ambient temperature or humidity is high, when the field display is convenient for reading).

Biogas flowmeter display method: no field display, with field display and only with field display. Field display refers to the LCD display circuit installed on the watch head, which can display the cumulative flow rate, instantaneous flow rate and other parameters. Biogas flowmeter signal output mode: pulse signal output and 4 ~ 20mA standard current signal output. In general, it is recommended to use pulse signal output, because the pulse signal directly corresponds to the vortex shedding frequency, without conversion, and has a high cumulative accuracy. At the same time, the pulse signal transmission effect is better. The standard current signal output is generally used to form a flow measurement system with a terminal or control system.

Explosion-proof form of biogas flowmeter: non-explosion-proof type and safety explosion-proof type. If the measured medium is flammable and explosive substance or the measurement ring is filled with flammable and easily fall substances, explosion-proof type should be selected.

Selection of flow range: The selection of biogas flow timing must be based on the larger flow rate, smaller flow rate and common flow rate of biogas in the field pipeline. Because the flow meter has a corresponding measuring range, beyond the measuring range can not be measured or not enough. Under normal circumstances, the marsh pressure directly produced by the biogas digester is small, the flow rate is slow, and the meteor range is relatively small, so it is not suitable to use a large-caliber biogas flowmeter.

In addition, the selection also needs to pay attention to whether the installation pipe on the site has a long enough straight pipe section, in general, the front end of the flow meter needs 10 times the length of the pipe diameter, and the back end needs 5 times the length of the pipe diameter.
