    First, the main advantages of gas turbine flowmeter
1, high accuracy: the full range is generally 1%-2.0%, high-precision type is 0.5%-1.0%; It is a kind of high precision.
2, good repeatability: generally up to 0.05% ~ 0.2%, because of its good repeatability, through frequent calibration or online calibration can achieve very high accuracy, so it is one of the preferred flow meters in trade settlement.
3, the range is wide: the large caliber can generally reach more than 20:1, the small caliber is 10:1, the starting flow is also low.
4, the pressure loss is small: under normal pressure is generally 0.1 ~ 2.5kPa.
5, compact structure, light volume, easy to install and use, large circulation capacity.
6, can use a variety of display methods, can only with mechanical counter or only with ordinary flow integrator, can also increase the temperature and pressure compensation instrument on the mechanical counter, or only with temperature and pressure compensation instrument, and can be long-term use of lithium battery power supply, easy to use.
7, because the general use of pulse frequency signal output, suitable for total measurement and computer connection, no zero drift, strong anti-interference ability. At the same time, if the high-frequency signal output is used, a very high frequency signal (3-4kHz) can be obtained, and the signal resolution is strong.

Second, the main shortcomings of gas turbine flowmeter
1, to maintain the calibration characteristics for a long time, it is necessary to check regularly. Suspended matter or corrosive components contained in the medium can cause problems such as bearing wear and sticking, which will change its accuracy and limit its scope of application, although the situation has improved after the use of wear-resistant carbide shafts and bearings, but this problem still exists. Therefore, it must be calibrated regularly, and for trade storage and high-precision measurement requirements, on-site calibration equipment is equipped.
2, regular refueling to ensure full lubrication of bearings, to ensure measurement accuracy and extend service life.
3, the physical characteristics of the medium (such as density, viscosity, etc.) have a great impact on the characteristics of the turbine flowmeter. Gas flowmeter is easily affected by density, and is closely related to temperature and pressure, so it is necessary to modify temperature and pressure.

Third, the gas turbine flowmeter is not suitable for occasions
1, the gas turbine flowmeter is greatly affected by the flow field distribution, so the flowmeter without a rectifier at the inlet should be set up a straight pipe section on the upstream and downstream side of the sensor as required, and the flowmeter with a rectifier at the inlet should also be set up a straight pipe section length according to the requirements of the instructions.
2, not suitable for use in the presence of strong pulsating flow, nor suitable for the measurement of miscible flow.
3, the cleanliness of the measured medium is high, the filter needs to be installed as required, but this also brings an increase in pressure loss.
4. The flow characteristics of small-caliber turbine flowmeters are seriously affected by physical properties, so the performance of small-caliber turbine flowmeters is difficult to improve. For example, the minimum caliber is DN25, but its range is only 10:1, and the highest accuracy is only ±1.0%.
5. It is not allowed to be used in the presence of fast switches.
