Why do gas turbine flowmeters need temperature and pressure compensation

    Gas turbine flowmeter fluid flows through the sensor shell, because the blade of the impeller has a certain Angle with the flow direction, the momentum of the fluid makes the blade have a rotational torque. After overcoming the friction torque and fluid resistance, the blade rotates, and the rotational speed is stable after the torque is balanced. Under certain conditions, the rotational speed is proportional to the velocity. It is in the magnetic field of the signal detector (composed of permanent magnetic steel and coil), and the rotating blade cuts the magnetic field line, periodically changing the magnetic flux of the coil, so that the coil at both ends of the pulse signal.

Temperature and pressure compensation usually refers to the data measured by the instrument is the result of the temperature of 25 degrees and the pressure of a standard atmospheric pressure, usually the temperature and pressure of the measurement site are different from the standard, so the general instrument can measure the temperature and pressure of the site, and then automatically compensate the measurement results through the calculation formula. According to the measurement principle of differential pressure flowmeter, the flow rate of gas is mainly the differential pressure flowmeter, because the gas has compressibility, it is more complicated than the measurement of liquid. The volume flow rate Q is a function of differential pressure and density, which in turn is a function of temperature and pressure. Because the density of the medium is different from that of the design in actual use, there will be a large measurement error, which is the reason for temperature and pressure compensation.

Temperature and pressure compensation gas turbine flowmeter before the factory instrument parameters are already designed, generally no special reasons do not need to be changed at will, different flow points of the sensor correspond to different instrument coefficients, non-linear correction needs to be understood.

Temperature and pressure compensation gas turbine flow meter zero adjustment, first close the valve of the pipeline, confirm that there is no flow in the pipeline and then switch on the flow meter power supply, series into the ammeter, monitor the output current of the flow meter, fine tune the converter circuit board, so that the output current back to 4ma, when the flow meter is running, the full degree output value of the flow meter can not be adjusted again in the field.
