What are the main characteristics of gas turbine flowmeters? In industrial production, we will encounter a variety of media that need to be measured and tested, such as natural gas, gas, liquefied gas, and so on. Moreover, there are many kinds of gas flow meters, such as gas turbine flowmeter, gas vortex flowmeter, etc. Gas turbine flowmeter is a kind of gas flow measurement instrument, which drives turbine blades to rotate through the power of the flowing medium, and the rotation speed of turbine blades is approximately proportional to the volume flow rate. In addition, the flow volume indicated by the flowmeter is based on the number of revolutions of the turbine impeller.
When natural gas enters the flow meter, it first passes through the special structure of the leading fluid inside the gas turbine flowmeter and accelerates. Under the action of fluid, turbine blades will form a certain Angle with the flow direction of fluid, and then the turbine will generate rotational torque, which can only drive the turbine to start rotating after overcoming the resistance torque and friction torque. When the rotational torque, resistance torque and friction torque are balanced, the speed of the turbine will be constant. Moreover, there is a linear relationship between turbine rotation speed and flow rate. The speed of the fan wheel is reduced by a pair of gears, while a sealed magnetic coupler transmits the trend of rotation to a mechanical counter outside the instrument. By using the principle of electromagnetic induction, the magneto at the tip of the rotating turbine blade periodically changes the reluctance, so as to induce a pulse signal proportional to the volume flow of the fluid at both ends of the coil, and measure the frequency of the pulse signal to get the flow size. The turbine flowmeter should be used in conjunction with the flow computer, which contains temperature, pulse and pressure detection channels and is equipped with various communication interfaces.
