How to install and maintain vortex flowmeter?

Vortex flowmeter principle is based on karman (karman) vortex principle to measure the volume flow or mass flow of gas, steam or liquid conditions volume flowmeter. Therefore, the vortex flowmeter must pay attention to several matters in the installation and use.
Vortex street flowmeter installation precautions:
1. When measuring liquid, the upper flow rate is limited by pressure loss and cavitation, generally (0.5 ~ 8)m/s.
2. When measuring gas, the upper limit of the flow rate is limited by the change in the compressibility of the medium, the lower limit of the flow rate is limited by the Reynolds number and the sensitivity of the sensor, and the steam is (8 ~ 25)m/s.
3. The stress vortex flowmeter is more sensitive to vibration, so in the pipeline with large vibration installation flow timing, the pipeline should have certain shock absorption measures.
4. The stress vortex flowmeter uses piezoelectric crystal as the detection sensor, so it is limited by temperature. 2 Generally (-40 ~ +300)℃, the measurement temperature is not higher than 400℃, otherwise the probe is easy to misregister due to aging.
5. Anti-electromagnetic interference and radio frequency interference is poor.
6. When the fluid medium is two-phase flow or pulsating flow, the measurement is affected.



Vortex flow meter maintenance
1. because the determination of the K coefficient is very important in the whole link of the vortex, the accuracy of the K coefficient directly affects the accuracy of the loop, instrument replacement parts and the wear of the process pipeline, etc., may affect the K coefficient. However, the Oriental chemical factory lacks the means and ability of calibration, so it can only send calibration. Affected by the process operation, the calibration time of 5 or 6 days is difficult to meet the requirements from the process, so the K coefficient cannot be determined. This year, through the transformation of the flow meter, although it has a smaller caliber of vortex calibration conditions, but for the larger caliber of vortex is still powerless, should pay attention to the use of the vortex field calibration method, the use of standard frequency and portable ultrasonic flowmeter, measure the instantaneous flow in the pipeline and the pulse output frequency of the sensor, on-site calculation of K coefficient.
2. the probe of the vortex flowmeter should be cleaned regularly, and it was found during the inspection that the detection hole of the individual probe has been blocked by dirt, and even wrapped in plastic sheets, affecting the normal measurement.
3. regularly check the grounding and shielding situation to eliminate external interference. Sometimes the indication problem is due to interference.
4. Install the probe in a humid environment. Should be regularly dried once, or moisture-proof treatment. Because the probe itself is not moisture-proof treatment, the operation is affected by moisture.
5. The management of instrument data should be paid enough attention to facilitate future work.
