How to improve the accuracy of gas turbine flowmeters

Gas turbine flowmeter has the advantages of high sensitivity, good repeatability, large range ratio and high precision. It has been widely used in gas trade settlement metering and even as a standard value transfer tool. With the comprehensive development of China's urban gas engineering and the continuous improvement of gas commercial transaction and handover measurement requirements, gas turbine flowmeter has gradually become one of the tools of China's urban gas commercial transaction and handover measurement.

Turbine flowmeter is a speed flowmeter. The gas is used to push the impeller of the flow meter to rotate. The speed of the impeller is proportional to the volume flow of the fluid. Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, the magnetic sensor is used to sense a pulse signal proportional to the volume flow of the fluid from the synchronous rotating impeller. The volume flow rate is calculated. The measurement accuracy is high, and the accuracy level can reach 1.0 and 1.5. Wide range ratio, the general measuring range is 1:20; Compact and light structure, easy installation and maintenance, low requirements of the front and back straight pipe section, can be used for medium and high pressure measurement.

Turbine flowmeter also has the following disadvantages: it has easily damaged moving parts, the bearing of the key components is easy to wear, the anti-fouling ability is poor, the cleanliness of the medium is high, it is difficult to maintain the calibration characteristics for a long time, and it needs to be calibrated regularly. The reasons for the error are: quality problems of the instrument itself, unreasonable design and selection, improper installation, improper operation and maintenance.

How to control the error? Correctly determine the position and specifications of the flow meter. Due to the existence of turbine inertia in the turbine flow meter, it is not suitable to use when the flow rate fluctuates frequently, otherwise the measurement accuracy will be reduced. The peak and valley values of gas consumption and medium pressure should be estimated more accurately, and the flow meter specifications should be correctly determined.

Filters must be installed before gas turbine flowmeters; The filter should be kept unblocked. If the filter is blocked (which can be judged by the pressure difference between the filter inlet and outlet), the filter should be cleaned in time. If not equipped with a differential pressure gauge, the filter should be cleaned once a month. Ensure the requirements of the straight pipe section, especially if the pipe diameter is reduced or the valve is partially open in front of the meter. During installation, the gasket should not extend into the pipeline, and the appearance inspection of the flow meter and pipeline axis should have no obvious deviation and installation stress. During installation, all impurities in the pipes must be removed to prevent the bearings and turbines from getting stuck.
