1. Regularly test whether all the grounding devices of the vortex flowmeter meet the requirements. Once it is found that the ground resistance value of the vortex flowmeter has a relatively large change, it should be immediately checked in various aspects of the ground system, and if necessary, measures can be taken to make up the ground pile.

2. Regularly check whether the soil around the ground device of the vortex flowmeter has subsidence, especially in the summer thunderstorm season.

3. Once the conductor of each part of the vortex flowmeter lightning protection device is found to be broken or rusted by more than 30% due to corrosion or other reasons, it must be replaced.

4. The lightning protection work of vortex flowmeter is divided into external lightning protection and internal lightning protection. External lightning protection includes lightning rod, lightning strip, lead down line, and grounding pole. In order to avoid damage to the vortex flowmeter due to lightning strikes, a suitable lightning arrester can be installed at the front end of the equipment that needs to be protected by the vortex flowmeter, so that the equipment, line and earth form a conditional equipotential body. The external lightning protection system protects the vortex flow meter body from lightning strikes, and the internal lightning protection system prevents the vortex flow meter from inductive thunder or other forms of overvoltage intrusion, and the two complement each other and are indispensable.
