Advantages and disadvantages of electromagnetic flowmeter
2024-04-11
Electromagnetic flow meter adopts advanced single-chip microcomputer technology and new micro-power consumption technology, which can measure the volume flow of conductive liquids including acid, alkali, salt and other highly corrosive liquids and pulp, mud, waste water and solid-liquid two-phase suspension. Widely used in petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, textile, food, pharmaceutical, paper and other industries and environmental protection, municipal management, water conservancy construction and other fields.
Advantages of electromagnetic flowmeter:
(1) There are no obstructing flow parts in the measuring tube, no pressure loss, and the requirements of the straight pipe section are relatively low;
(2) High measurement accuracy, strong stability, strong anti-vibration interference ability;
(3) The measurement is not affected by changes in fluid density, viscosity, temperature, pressure and conductivity;
(4) With a variety of electrodes and lining options, strong resistance to medium corrosion.
Disadvantages of electromagnetic flowmeter:
(1) The flow meter can only measure the liquid flow of the medium with a conductivity greater than 5μs/m.
(2) The actual maximum pressure of the flowmeter must be less than the rated pressure of the flowmeter.
(3) Can not measure gas, vapor and other media.
(4) Scaling or wear of the flow meter water supply pipe changes the inner diameter size, which will cause measurement errors.
(5) When the flow meter is used to measure the viscous liquid with dirt, if the dirt on the electrode reaches a certain thickness, it may lead to increased measurement error of the instrument.
The above briefly introduces the advantages and disadvantages of electromagnetic flowmeter. You can learn more about electromagnetic flowmeter through Aister, or contact us online, our email: sales@aistermeter.com
