Installation method and precautions of radar level meter

2023-12-18
Radar level meter can be widely used in the measurement of liquid, slurry and solid, with the characteristics of pressure resistance, temperature resistance, not affected by the measuring medium and high precision. Proper installation and use ensure good measurement results and data accuracy. The following is a detailed introduction to the installation method and precautions of the radar level meter:

How it works:
Radar level meter can measure liquid, paste and solid by transmitting linear frequency modulation pulse signal and capturing reflection signal. This model is 80G FM radar product with high operating frequency and short wavelength, suitable for solid environment, can be used in harsh temperature and high dust environment.

Installation precautions:
Target material level:

Ensure that the radar level gauge is vertically incident when aligned with the target material level to ensure accurate measurement.
Avoid false echoes:

Install at least 20 cm from the container wall, and the best installation distance is 1/6 of the diameter of the container. Avoid installation above the intake pipe and in the center of the container to reduce false echoes.
Dealing with small containers:

For small containers, make sure the radar level gauge is at a sufficient distance from the container wall, otherwise false echoes may be generated. False echoes are stored during debugging to avoid errors.
Handling concave or conical containers:

For concave or conical containers, pay attention to the adjustment of the radar beam as it reaches the lowest point of the tank bottom to ensure accurate measurement at low levels.
Further notes during installation:
Handling conical containers:

In a conical container, try to direct the beam to the bottom of the tank to avoid the inaccuracy of the measurement results of the bottom of the tank.
Avoid the feed port:

When installing the meter, ensure that the antenna beam is away from the feed port to ensure measurement accuracy.
Avoid distractions:

Ensure that there are no distractions in the beam range, such as stairs and steps.
Consider the electric constant of the medium:

For the measurement medium with low dielectric constant, setting the zero point at a low height can improve the measurement accuracy.
Set the installation distance:

Set a installation distance during installation and attach it to the blind area to provide overspill protection.
Consider corrosion and adhesion:

Consider the effects of corrosion and adhesion when measuring, ensuring that the final value of the measuring range is at least 100mm from the antenna tip.
The above installation methods and precautions will help ensure the correct installation and accurate measurement of the radar level meter. Refer to the specific product manuals and recommendations of Aister Instruments for best results.
