Driven by many factors, the natural gas flowmeter market has ushered in great development opportunities

2021-04-10

Natural gas flow meters can generally be divided into civil and industrial and commercial two categories, according to their working mode, natural gas flow meters are further divided into more types. Natural gas flowmeter is a kind of meter that uses the Karman vortex street principle to measure the working condition volume flow or standard volume flow. Its working principle is to insert the cylindrical barrier vertically into the fluid pipeline, and calculate the flow rate or flow rate of the pipeline fluid according to the separation frequency of the alternating vortexes produced on both sides behind it. Natural gas flowmeter has the advantages of high measurement accuracy, wide range, low power consumption, easy installation, simple operation, small pressure loss, etc., and is widely used in civil, commercial and industrial fields to calculate the production, transportation and consumption of natural gas flow.

(1) The rapid development of the natural gas industry: as a clean energy source, natural gas is crucial to improving the energy mix. From 2013 to 2017, the natural gas industry experienced rapid development and is expected to continue to grow between 2018 and 2022. The rapid development of the natural gas industry will promote the rapid development of the natural gas flowmeter market.

(2) Increased construction of natural gas pipelines: The 13th Five-Year Plan for Natural Gas Development aims to expand the natural gas pipeline network within the scope. It is expected that by 2022, the total length of urban natural gas pipelines will be expanded to about 981,000 kilometers. Continued large-scale construction of natural gas pipelines will increase the demand for natural gas flow meters.

(3) Increased exports: With the development of the natural gas industry, more and more natural gas flow meter suppliers are now able to meet European and American standards, and industrial and commercial natural gas flow meters are increasingly exported to other countries.

(4) Increased proven natural gas reserves: According to Sullivan data, proven natural gas reserves have reached 5.4 trillion cubic meters, showing the potential for natural gas supply. As the demand for natural gas continues to grow, more natural gas reserves will be utilized, which will drive the growing demand for industrial and commercial natural gas flowmeters.
