High temperature vortex flow meter

2024-06-05
A high temperature vortex flow meter is an instrument specifically designed to measure the flow of high temperature gases or liquids. The following is a detailed explanation of its characteristics:

1. Measurement principle:
The high temperature vortex flowmeter works based on the Karman vortex principle, that is, a vortex generator (such as a triangular column) is set in the fluid, and when the fluid passes by, regular vortices are alternately generated on both sides of the vortex generator. The frequency of these vortices is proportional to the velocity of the fluid, so the velocity and flow of the fluid can be calculated by measuring the frequency of the vortices.

2. Features and advantages:
High reliability: The vortex flowmeter uses a simple and robust design, which can work stably in high temperature environments to ensure the stability and reliability of industrial production.
Wide measuring range: range ratio can reach 1:10, suitable for a variety of flow rate range measurement.
High measurement accuracy: Vortex flowmeter can provide accurate flow measurement results to meet the requirements of high precision industrial production process.
Small pressure loss: During the measurement process, the pressure loss of the vortex flowmeter is small, which helps to improve energy efficiency.
High stability: Vortex flowmeter adopts piezoelectric stress sensor, which has high stability.
Medium temperature: Generally speaking, it is divided into three ranges, which are divided into normal temperature, medium and high temperature. The temperature range is -40 ~ 100
(normal temperature), 100 ~ 250(medium temperature), 100 ~ 350(high temperature). If the field medium temperature is higher, such as some superheated steam, you can use the orifice flowmeter to measure; .
Wide range of applications: It can be used to measure gas and liquid flows and is suitable for a wide range of temperature, pressure and flow rates to meet the needs of different industries and applications.
Easy signal output: Vortex flowmeter has analog standard signal and digital pulse signal output, easy to use with computers and other digital systems.

3. Precautions:
Seismic performance: The seismic performance of the vortex flowmeter is poor, and the vibration source may cause measurement errors or even fail to work normally. Therefore, the installation should be away from the vibration source.
High temperature resistance: Although it is called a high temperature vortex flowmeter, its high temperature resistance has certain limitations, and it usually cannot measure the fluid medium with a temperature of more than 300 ° C.
Straight pipe section requirements: Vortex flowmeter has higher requirements for the straight pipe section, and it is usually necessary to ensure that the first 10D and then 5D straight pipe section can meet the measurement requirements.

Pipe diameter limitation: Flange connected vortex flowmeters can be divided into pipe and insert installation according to the different installation methods. For the pipeline type, the pipe diameter is the same as most other flowmeters, the small is DN15, and the large is able to reach DN300. If you need a larger caliber, you can choose to insert the installation, the conventional caliber range can reach DN2000, DN2000 caliber is supplied in accordance with the agreement.
In summary, the high temperature vortex flowmeter is a powerful and stable flow measurement instrument, suitable for a variety of high temperature environment flow measurement needs. However, in the process of use, it is necessary to pay attention to its seismic performance, high temperature resistance, straight pipe section requirements and pipe diameter restrictions.
