When it comes to selecting flowmeters, our company follows the following principles:
1. Ensure production safety: This means selecting a flowmeter that can guarantee the safety of the production process.
2. Ensure measurement accuracy: It is important to choose a flowmeter that can provide accurate measurements.
To achieve these principles, we need to consider three key parameters during the selection process:
a. Maximum and minimum flow rates: This helps determine the appropriate nominal diameter of the flowmeter.
b. Design pressure of the measured medium: This is used to select the nominal pressure rating of the flowmeter.
c. Actual operating pressure: This is mainly used to determine the pressure rating of the pressure sensor in the flowmeter.
a.When the measured flow is in terms of actual volume flow, you can directly select the appropriate nominal diameter based on the flow range provided in the table.
b.When the measured flow rate is in terms of standard conditions volume flow, you should first convert the standard conditions volume flow (Q) to actual volume flow (Qv), and then select the corresponding nominal diameter based on the flow range provided in the technical specifications table.
c.When both nominal diameters of flow meter can cover the minimum and maximum volume flow rates, it is recommended to choose the smaller diameter, as long as the actual minimum flow rate (Qmin) does not fall below the lower limit of the selected flowmeter's flow range, considering the allowable pressure drop.
e.If there are special requirements for flow range or nominal pressure, it is possible to place a custom order based on mutual agreement.
