Turbine flowmeter interference fault phenomenon, fault causes and elimination methods
1. After the turbine flowmeter is installed normally, there will be signal output or flow display if there is no flow through, and the value is unstable
a. The stop valve is not tightly closed, and there is leakage:
Check the status of the front valve to ensure that it is closed and no flow is passing through
b. Poor grounding of signal line shielding:
Ensure good grounding. Select the ground cable or the metal shell of the device.
c. There are high-power equipment such as motors and frequency converters running nearby:
Turbine flowmeters should be installed away from high-power equipment to avoid strong magnetic and electric field environments. Strong magnetoelectric signals can lead to false signals in flowmeters.
2. After the turbine flowmeter is installed normally, there is flow through, and the signal output or flow display value is very unstable
a. The power supply is unstable:
For turbine flowmeters that require external power supply, the quality of power supply should be ensured, and the meter power supply should be separated from the power supply of high-power equipment. If necessary, the flow meter should be powered by an isolation transformer. Or through the isolation transformer to the switching power supply, and then to the flow meter power supply.
b. Transmission signal line mixed with strong electricity:
The signal transmitted by the flow meter is a weak signal, and try not to be mixed with 380V, 220V and other strong cables, otherwise it may introduce interference.
c. The field equipment is not well grounded:
The pipelines of the on-site equipment should be well grounded and not live. Otherwise, it will interfere with the work of the flowmeter.
d. Strong vibration in the pipeline:
Secure the pipeline, isolate the source.
e. The front and rear straight pipe segments are seriously inadequate:
At least ensure that the front 5D, the back 2D straight pipe section, otherwise it will cause a large fluctuation in the flow display.
