Due to the compressibility of the gas, its flow measurement is more complex than that of the liquid, and the output signal of the vortex flowmeter is related to the gas density in addition to the input signal, and the density of the gas is a function of temperature and pressure (referred to as temperature and pressure).

Vortex flowmeter is based on the Karman vortex street principle, which is mainly performed by setting a non-streamlined vortex generator (resistance fluid) in the flowing fluid, and alternately producing two columns of regular vortices from both sides of the vortex generator.
