10 requirements for installation of vortex flow meter

Vortex flowmeter can be widely used in large, medium and small kinds of pipeline water supply and drainage, industrial circulation, sewage treatment, oil and chemical reagents and compressed air, saturated and superheated steam, natural gas and various media flow measurement and can be used as a flow transmitter in automatic control system, long service life. 1. Reasonably choose the place and environment for installing vortex flowmeters. Avoid strong power equipment, high frequency equipment, strong power switchgear; Avoid the influence of high temperature heat sources and radiation sources, avoid strong vibration places and strong corrosion environments, etc., and consider convenient installation and maintenance.

2. There must be sufficient straight pipe sections upstream and downstream. If the upstream of the sensor mounting point of the vortex flowmeter has two 90 in the same plane. Elbow: the upstream straight pipe section is ≥25D, and the downstream straight pipe section is ≥5D. If the upstream of the sensor mounting point has two 90 in different planes. Elbow: the upstream straight pipe section is ≥40D, and the downstream straight pipe section is ≥5D. The regulating valve should be installed in the downstream 5D of the sensor, if it must be installed in the upstream of the sensor, the upstream straight pipe section of the sensor should not be less than 50D, and the downstream should not be less than 5D.

3. The upstream and downstream pipes of the installation point should be concentric with the sensor, and the coaxial deviation should not be less than 0.5DN.

4. Take vibration reduction measures for pipelines. Try to avoid installing the sensor on the pipeline with strong vibration, especially transverse vibration. If it is necessary to install the sensor, vibration reduction measures must be taken, and pipe fastening devices are installed at upstream and downstream 2D of the sensor, and anti-vibration pads are added.

5. Installation on the horizontal pipe is the most common installation method for flow sensors. When measuring gas flow, if the measured gas contains a small amount of liquid, the sensor should be installed at a higher level of the pipeline. When measuring liquid flow, if the measured liquid contains a small amount of gas, the sensor should be installed in the lower part of the pipeline.

6. Installation of sensors in vertical pipelines. When the vortex flowmeter measures the gas flow, the sensor can be installed on the vertical pipe, and the flow direction is unlimited. If the measured gas contains a small amount of liquid, the gas flow should be from the bottom up. When measuring liquid flow, the liquid flow direction should be bottom-up: this does not attach additional liquid weight to the probe.

7. The sensor is installed on the side of the horizontal pipe. Regardless of the fluid being measured, the sensor can be side-mounted on the horizontal pipe, especially for superheated steam, saturated steam and cryogenic liquids, if conditions permit, so that the temperature of the fluid has less influence on the amplifier.

8. Flip sensor in horizontal pipe. Generally, this installation method is not recommended. This installation method is not suitable for measuring general gases and superheated steam. It can be used to measure saturated steam and is suitable for measuring high temperature liquids or for situations where pipes need to be cleaned frequently.

9. The sensor is installed on the pipe with insulation layer. When measuring high temperature steam, the insulation layer should not exceed a maximum of one-third of the height of the support.

10. Selection of pressure and temperature measurement points. According to the needs of measurement, when the pressure and temperature need to be measured near the sensor, the pressure measurement point should be 3-5 d downstream of the sensor, and the temperature measurement point should be 6-8D downstream of the sensor
